National Narratives LLC ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect the information of users ("you") accessing our platform.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: name, email address, organization name, and billing details (processed securely via Stripe; we do not store card numbers). User Data: media contact lists, drafts, writing samples, prompts, and other content you upload to the platform. Media contact information may also be assembled by Service features from publicly available sources, such as outlet mastheads and staff directories, at your direction. Usage Data: IP addresses, browser types, interaction with features, and log data.
2. How We Use Your Information
To provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service; to process payments, manage subscriptions, and send billing notices; to power our AI features (transmitting necessary inputs to third-party AI providers, currently Anthropic and Google); and to communicate with you regarding platform updates, security alerts, and support.
3. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell your User Data or media contacts. We only share data with: Service Providers, meaning companies that help us run our business (such as our cloud hosting, database, email delivery, and payment providers); AI API Providers, to deliver AI features, and we do not permit these providers to use your data to train their general AI models; and for Legal Compliance, as required by applicable law or valid legal process. A current list of subprocessors is available in our Data Processing Agreement and upon request.
4. Data Security and Retention
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, row-level access controls enforced at the database layer, and role-based permissions. Upon account cancellation, your User Data is retained for 30 days for easy export, after which it is permanently deleted from our primary systems within 60 days; residual copies in encrypted backups are deleted in the ordinary course of backup rotation shortly thereafter.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Contact us at hello@nationalnarratives.com to exercise these rights.
6. Journalists and Media Contacts
Our customers work with contact information about journalists and other media professionals in the course of their communications work. This information may be uploaded by the customer or assembled by Service features from publicly available sources. If you are a journalist or media professional and believe your information appears in a customer’s account, you may contact us at hello@nationalnarratives.com to request information about, correction of, or removal of your data from our systems, subject to applicable law. Where the data is controlled by our customer, we will forward your request to the relevant customer and assist in its resolution as described in our Data Processing Agreement.
7. Changes to Our Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the Services, or applicable law. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service, by email, or by other appropriate means as required by applicable law. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about our privacy practices.
